The ocean looks ferocious and the winds look hungry. And I’m sure that is not the kind of weather you want to be wandering about in.

So I hope you all stay hunkered down indoors because I think that’s the safest place to be right now. My thoughts are with you guys and I hope Irene gets tired and blows over soon.

Have you noticed how companies promoting their products tend to use acronyms? Well, why not as long as your audience knows what you’re talking about. But what if they don’t? Wouldn’t that beautifully packaged ad promo just go whooosh over their heads and turn your audience completely off?

I’m thinking wouldn’t it be much more helpful to spell things out for your potential customers? Even when you think most people may know what a HDTV or a GPS is, it’s not that hard to spell it out anyhow just to be sure.

Even with financial terms like bullion and bonds, it would help to explain what they mean for the sake of the non-financially inclined in your audience. Just my two cents.

It sounds silly but I get that feeling. And it just occurred to me that what if rainbows are circular and they form a ring around Earth? And what if there’s no end to the rainbow? Would that mean no pot of gold at the end of this amazing phenomenon? That’s some food for thought. Wouldn’t it be crazy if you see half the rainbow at your end of the Earth while someone else on the other side of the globe sees the other half???

There was a discount coupon attached to the bottom of the check! What a nice surprise and it’s definitely very encouraging. Apparently, other restaurants do the same too. Must look out for the coupons at the bottom from now onwards.

I’m not picky about music but hearing the same thing repeatedly has got to get tiring at some point. It doesn’t help that whenever the radio stations ask people to call in and request songs, people choose the same song that has been played over three times in the same day!

Although fall is right around the corner, I think technically we still have lots of good summery days here in California and in Florida. I went to the Epcot Center and Disney World and although Kissimmee is practically next door, we didn’t get a chance to visit. That was before I had kids.

Now with kids, I’m even more eager to take them there. There are so many great places to stay in Kissimmee but I really like the idea of renting a home – away from home – where we can, well, feel right at home .

In the day, we would do all the tourist-y stuff and then “come home” every night to a real house. Cool! We would take our own sweet time to visit a theme park a day, indulge in the great outdoors, and eat out to our heart’s content!

The more I think about this, the more excited I am about planning a vacation to Kissimmee. I’m sure the kids will love it as much as I will. Yup, Mom’s always ready to hang up her apron and just hang out with the kids .

And you’ll definitely find me at Sea World. I love all the shows!

Not that it’s a chance I would pass up ordinarily, after all, who wouldn’t make a rush for free gold. It’s just that my head hurts so bad nothing could make me step out into the sun. Me and Mr Sun aren’t the best of pals… unfortunately. I’d just stay indoors with an icepack on my head!

I’m still aghast with the beautiful weather. When I look out to sea, I can’t help but wonder how weather like this would light up the eyes of sailors of old. A light breeze to lift the sails. The sun out in all its glory. A calm sea. Great sailing weather.

In the old days, I’m thinking there’s lots of folks looking to buy gold bars and other antiques from the sailors coming in. Gold was a popular metal for jewelry and I guess it’s the best thing to impress the ladies with. Everyone loves gold, no doubt about that!
