I haven’t washed my car in weeks. I think it’s a bit of a family tradition to have cars caked in dust or at least that’s how my cousin proudly describes it.
The weather being so hot all year, it’s really hard to drag myself out there to give my car a good scrub. Not [...]

Crazy how hot and humid it is these days, right? If you’re outdoors, it’s always a good idea to have a bottle of water handy that you can swig every now and then to keep hydrated. Here’s an ingenious way of doing it!

We’re having great barbecue weather, believe it or not? It’s cool in the evenings with a light breeze blowing. What I don’t understand is why no one seems to be having a barbecue.
I only see folks having barbecues during Chinese New Year when it’s the hottest and driest and really, in my books, not the [...]

Have you ever noticed the raindrops on flowers and leaves after the rain? They’re really pretty, aren’t they? I’ve been meaning to snap some photos of them.
But it seems that each time I leave the house to pick up my kids, I’m in such a rush that I forget to grab my camera on the [...]

Have you ever had a picnic IN your car before? No? Well then, you really should try it. I stumbled upon this idea by accident.
I had to drive Raine to her tutor’s house which is like miles away. It took us 40 minutes to get there in the heavy downpour and rush hour traffic. Skye [...]

Wow, it looks like another sunny day out. My weatherman says it’s 76 degrees out but it feels more like 90. Can’t believe everything you hear, I guess. I’ve learnt to take weather reports with a pinch of salt.
Do you know how many times I’ve made plans based on the weather reports our local radio [...]

Saturday was Raine’s sports day. She’d been so looking forward to it. But as luck would have it, she caught the flu and fever from Skye and Steev on Friday night.
She was still hopeful the fever would be gone by the time she woke up Saturday morning. But her temperature had gone up instead.
So that [...]

Skye’s school held their annual cross-country run on the Friday and that day happened to be blazing hot. Even with two bottles of water on her, she complained it wasn’t enough.
When I picked her up after the run, she was tanned and exhausted but happy. Kids love this sort of thing, as another mom was [...]
