I’ve got more like these here in a whole range of different colors and sizes. I got them all for free from different companies and frankly I don’t mind doing a bit of free advertising for them in support of their being socially responsible.

I had no idea I have about 20 of these bags. They’re pretty handy and durable. I don’t only use them for shopping, my kids also use them to carry additional stuff that won’t fit into their backpacks, like art supplies, projects, etc.

I can only console myself that it’s the thought and action on our part that counts. May those who have sponsored other Day of Blogs bloggers for the ASPCA be well and happy. Thank you and goodnight.

It’s been a long day for all of us and now there’s another half hour till the end for us A-schedulers. Not too late for last minute donations, people. Don’t you care about the poor animals? Look at their poor pleading eyes.

They helped me choose my charity. They helped me decide on the animal theme we’ve used throughout this event, and it’s worked out really great. They edged me on, kept me motivated and laughing. They came up with the ideas for the posts and helped write many of them. They’ve just been the greatest!! They’ve been incredible. Muacks.

She’s been great all the way taking the time from her own blogging to drop by and leave me notes of encouragement. Thanks so much, Renee, you’re the awesomest monitor. Well, I started out with all the good intentions of raising money for the animals.

But it looks like after almost 24 hours of straight blogging, I’ve still got no donations to show for my efforts *sobs*.

We’ve still got an hour or so to go. So let’s see if anyone donates to the ASPCA. If you do, please leave me a comment so I can thank you personally and give you a free 30-day link on my blogroll.

On occasion, we do go that restaurant because of the quality of their food. The joke is this – we go to a seafood restaurant but we don’t order their ‘live seafood’. Buddhists practise compassion for all living beings in our daily lives. The maitre’ d always gives us disgusted looks like we’re totally wierd!

Thing is we look at all those poor sea creatures in the tanks. One minute they’re swimming merrily and the next, they’re in the pot being made into someone’s dinner. My kids feel really sorry for them. It’s like being on death row, isn’t it, Mom? they used to say sadly.

We couldn’t bear to have them killed for our enjoyment. Every living creature deserves a place right here. They may not be human but they have a life, they have kids, they have families, they feel pain, they have a right to be alive. So have a heart for the poor creatures that share this earth with us.
