This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

Whatever I’m eating, I like a bit of spicy in it. Make that, a lot of spicy. Whether I’m eating a hard-boiled egg, rice noodles or pizza, I will be reaching out for that bottle of TABASCO® Original Red.

That’s my newfound love ever since I found out what more I could do with this wonderful sauce on the Pizza Perfected site. There are so many brilliant ways you can spice up your pizza that it’s mind-boggling at the very least.

Also if you’re having friends and family over for a game night, you really should check out the Game-Day Party Menu for more ways you can use your Tabasco Red. If you’re like me, you’ll enjoy surprising the heck out of everyone with something they totally would not be expecting.

I love hearing the oohs and aahs when I bring out a platter of food that I just know will be polished clean in a matter of minutes. Of course, I’ll also end up handing out the recipe and pretty soon, everyone’s going to be making a dash for that Tabasco Red.

So next time, I won’t be the one slaving in the kitchen because everyone else will be serving it at their game night too.

We went looking for good Chinese food last weekend and finally decided to go to this restaurant that we’d forgotten all about. We used to go there all the time about ten years ago. The food was pretty good back then but now it’s not as tasty and the portions have shrunk.

It’s sad because our expectations were much higher. Lesson learned: Don’t keep your hopes too high for food you haven’t eaten in a long while because it just might disappoint in a big way.

One thing’s for sure though. The turkey will make his grand appearance as usual. Mmm, all this talk about turkey is making me hungry. Want to share turkey recipes?

The weather is finally warming up for those in the Northern Hemisphere and I can definitely see that people just can’t wait to get out into the fresh air and sunshine. I bet there are lots of picnics and cruises and outdoor activities being planned even as we speak.

If you’re planning to hit the outdoors big-time, picnics by a lake or in the park are really nice because there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Of course, if you’re a mom, there’s lots of food preparation to be done ahead of time but you can always enlist the help of the older kids.

Barbecues are great too, I love them. The only thing I dread is the heat of standing next to the pit and flipping the meat. Then again, there’s always the hubby who’s up for the challenge and doesn’t mind getting a tan from bending over the fire pit. So yeah, delegate the job to him .

But don’t forget, as with any foodie event, you probably need to spend some time pouring over the holiday recipes to get some idea of what you’re planning to cook. Or do like I do, ask the kids what they’d like to eat and I’m sure you’ll get more ideas from there than you could off a cookbook.

Kids like to get involved so get them involved. Since they’re so excited about stuff like that, they’d be more than willing to jump in and get their hands dirty, so to speak. So there’s all the ready labor you need right there .

Salads and cold drinks (preferably iced) are a must. Or pack an ice box with canned drinks and a box of salad. Keep it fresh and simple. The important thing is to have fun, not stress .

Yes, we sneaked out of town early last weekend and took a slow drive to the boonies for breakfast. The restaurant was packed like sardines as we’d expected. We waited a full half-hour, maybe more, to finally grab a table.

You know how standing beside a table waiting for its occupants to leave only inspires them to sit around even longer to engage in idle chit-chat even when they so obviously had finished their meal.

That’s what I really love about the unselfish nature of some people, their dire pleasure in wasting other people’s time, and their total lack of consideration for others. That said, the dimsum was the best though service was understandably slow.

By the time we were almost done, a man had parked himself beside our table, glaring at us with a seriously authoritative “get lost” look while his son, aged about 8, had hijacked one of our chairs and invited himself to our breakfast.

What a string of pleasant folks to run into on a Sunday morning !!
