Call us bias but he made up for the weaker acting parts. Matt Dillon was quite hard to watch. Never liked his gravelly voice and he seemed like he was trying too hard. Give us Matt Damon any day.

The plot was kind of like The Losers only fancier and less geeky. Lots of action but not sure if we’d watch it again. Maybe the Paul Walker parts only. 6/10.

Oh, Life As We Know It got pretty good reviews. Do you recommend it? Maybe we should do a back-to-back movie marathon. I loved the previous Katherine Heigl romcoms so I’m hoping that this one won’t be a disappointment.

There’s something about that guy’s moves that bring to mind images of a bee stinging its opponent that brings me to the edge of my seat.

So though I’m not a huge boxing fan, I wouldn’t mind if someone gave me Mayweather boxing tickets to the ‘live’ match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday March 13, 2009!

Whoo, that would be some match to watch. And I guess I don’t have to tell you who I’ll be routing for .

We got free tickets to watch “Fast and Furious”, and what did we do? Go, of course, no second thoughts. The movie was great, lived up to its name and more. It practically had us on the edge of our seats.

It was wild crazy action from start to finish. Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) teams up again after Dom loses his girlfriend and wants to go after the bad guys.

This is one of those movies you’ve got to watch at the cinema to appreciate the sound effects and the full impact of those wild and crazy car chases and tumbling wrecks !

All of the chase sequences were very well put together and of course, it’s great to see the original team of actors back. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should.

That’s what I learnt from some of the mommy bloggers who are on a budget. Hey, going to the movies with a brood of kids can really set you back, ya know. But kids love the movie experience so it’s good to take them once in a while. There’s that excitement about getting dressed and stuffing popcorn into their mouths. I think it’s great.

It used to be quite fun but over the years, we’ve grown to dislike how commercialized it has become. I mean, if you have to wait for this one day in a year to profess your love for someone, your relationship is indeed doomed.

Having said that, it’s always a convenient excuse to go out for a nice little dinner . Have you made your dinner plans yet? If not, you should go check out the Village Voice, a weekly news publication of entertainment options for the New York area.

There’s a whole list of New York Restaurants to impress your other half with. But knowing how everyone has probably made their dinner reservations early, you’d best hurry.

I wasn’t going to watch Twilight but since there’s been such a huge buzz, I thought I’d better go watch it. I haven’t read the book, any of them but I’m told the book is better than the movie.

This is your ordinary high school love story. Girl meets vampire, falls head over heels and ends up going to the prom with him? Er, I can’t claim to know anything about falling in love with a vampire but it strikes me as something of a drag.

Edward is stone-faced and expressionless and looks rather dehydrated. He really should drink more, um, never mind. Okay, maybe that’s why his complexion is dry and he looks constipated. I think I preferred him as Cedric in Harry Potter. But then Bella is something of a thundercloud herself so I guess they’re a good match?

There’s nothing very spectacular about Twilight so I’m not sure what the hype is about. But I think if you want a romantic movie, either Nottinghill or Down Home Alabama would be much better bets.

I watched Quantum of Solace with an open mind, although my kids have been telling me they’ve read nothing but negative reviews. Still we were curious and couldn’t deny ourselves the chance to the judge.

By the time I was done watching the movie, I was wondering, where the heck was James Bond? I was looking for that familiar dignity in his suits and his British sense of humor and those fancy gadgets and flashy cars.

Er, was I missing something? There was none of that! At this point, it would be an understatement to say Daniel Craig is most uncharacteristic of the James Bond I’ve grown up with.

Here we’ve got a guy who dresses and behaves more like a gangster than an aloof gentleman spy. He hardly mumbles more than a few lines and I detected no humor whatsoever, though I had my ears perked to listen between the lines.

And whatever happened to the glamorous Bond girls in their slinky red dresses with hidden weapons in their stillettos, and villians with distorted faces?

What’s with Bond and Bond girls with dirt-caked faces in all modes of vehicle chases? Where’s Pierce Brosnan? Pierce, we want you back, hear me?
