you can’t fleece us
The kids and I missed our dentist’s appointment last month. Yeah, yeah, so we should be going this month but then with school starting, I’d rather we get our schedules ironed out first.
But looking at how time is flying, it looks like I have to postpone our appointment to next month. I know for a fact that in the last two weeks before Chinese New Year, the price at the hairdressers’ will double. Thank goodness me and the kids don’t need haircuts.
Even if we did, I’d rather wait till after Chinese New Year. Most people want their hair to look perfect when they meet friends and relatives during the festive holidays but we really don’t care a hoot about trying to impress anyone 
so sue us if our hair is unruly, get what I mean?
Most services will cost twice as much because of the Chinese New Year factor. I don’t quite relish being fleeced by the dentist so we’d best wait out the month

Thanks for the tips about the doubled prices due to the coming Chinese New Year. I think I’ll postpone all our appointments for now–and just lounge in front of the tv this weekend and the next.
