Playstation 3 launch @ 1 Utama
Yes, the Playstation 3 is here finally, albeit two years after it was first launched in the US and Japan (I think). Still there’s quite a bit of hype surrounding the launch here at 1 Utama last Saturday.
Obviously many people seem to think it’s worth their time camping out or sacrificing sleep to get in line for the discount vouchers to purchase the Playstation 3.
I heard some folks had been camping outside 1 Utama two nights ahead of the launch. Party time for the mosquitoes, no doubt. But here’s a picture of some of the folks entertaining themselves while waiting.
Luckily Saturday wasn’t as blazing hot as it usually is. Even then, the place was very smoky as the crowd started building up when the mall opened at 10am.
I guess no launch of big boys’ toys is ever complete without the scantily-clad promoters milling around. Sorry, I couldn’t get Steev to take any pictures of them because he thought they looked rather lame.
After 7 hours in the line, DH managed to buy his Playstation 3 at a tiny discount, not even enough to cover the cost of the proprietary stuff the Playstation 3 needs in order to work.

Sony PS3 seems to be a pure entertainer as far as video gaming is concerned. Good that it is being launched everywhere.

PS3 is awesome , I’m a huge fan of “Gran Turismo” and I’ve waited for eternity to came out something like PS3… PS3 rules!!!

I believe SONY PS3 is far better than new XBOX. My son really prefer to have more Sony games instead of XBOX.
