night of lanterns
I can’t believe we’re here on another Lantern Festival day. Sure, the mooncakes have been on sale since, what, two months ago? Man, they sure are starting earlier and earlier, aren’t they?
I heard that the mooncake sales haven’t been very good this year. Blame it on the weak economy. But then again, mooncakes are so sweet you can only so many, know what I mean?
The kids no doubt must have their lanterns, good times or not so good times. But then again it’s only once a year so don’t deny them this wonderful childhood memory of walking in the park with their selected animal-shaped lantern, lit and blowing in the wind.
It’s raining right now though. I hope the rain stops soon so the kids in the neighborhood can go out with their lanterns.
