feeding the pigeons
When the kids were younger, we used to take our leftover bread and head for a park nearby where they could feed the birds. It’s probably one of the few parks where we’d actually find swarms of pigeons flying in when we scattered a handful of crumbs.

I mean, rather than waste the bread, we thought we’d share it with the birds. After all, when we ran out of leftover bread, we would start buying fresh loaves just to feed them. The kids really enjoyed seeing the birds swoop in and start pecking crazily.
