birds chirping outside my window
We live in the city and what really amazes is when I hear birds chirping and singing outside my window in the mornings. Granted we’re not smack in the center of the city but still you’d think few birds in their right mind would stick around in all this pollution and development, eh? But I’m glad they’re around to brighten up my busy mornings.

It is absolutely amazing how birds persist, despite the destruction of their natural environments.
