Seems like our weekends have been getting busier when we should be slowing down. But looking at the crazy crowds at the malls, it seems there’s no slowing anyone down.
We went to two movies last weekend, both free. So it’s not like we were actually splurging. But if we’d had to pay for those movies, it would’ve easily set us back by about 100 bucks each movie inclusive of tickets, lunch and popcorn for the family.
Movies don’t come cheap. There’s a way you can cut down on the cost of going to a movie with your kids though. Eat lunch at home before you go. Bring your own water. It won’t save you that much, I know, but small savings will have a cumulative effect over time.
