I remember when I was outfitting my new house, I used to take time off from work to drive around and look for the door handles for all my cabinets. The carpenter had offered to show me samples but I wanted to have a wider range to choose from.
So I got him to list down all the places in town where I could go to buy the door handles myself. He thought I was nuts but frankly I didn’t care. I just wanted to make sure I didn’t end up with some of those rather hideously mismatched handles I’d seen in some other homes I’ve visited.
But hey, if you’re thinking the same thing and want to see and pick out your own selections, you don’t have to drive around town like I did. That was before I knew that there was such a wide selection on the internet.
