house painting is no fun, duh!
We spent the whole of yesterday slaving away at our house painting project. It was something we’d expected to take only a day at the most, since we weren’t being super-ambitious to start with.
But don’t underestimate these things especially if you’re nowhere near being a pro at it, like us! There are so many mistakes you can make and so many things you would not have anticipated. Believe me!
We first had to scrape the old paint off which took hours. Once we got started, we discovered there are so many little corners and small bits that we had to cover. We didn’t think there would be so many.
A couple of the paint brushes started losing their bristles and we ended up having to weed out the bristles that’d stuck to the paint. Aaaargh!
We painted as fast as we could but ended up only getting half the job by evening yesterday, by which time we were pooped!! Seriously. Decided to call it a day and we’re off again this morning! Duh! Wish we’d hired the pros to do the job instead.
