being neighborly
My neighbors are always sending food over. Somehow they’ve figured out what I like to eat and whenever they happen to cook my favorites, they would always bring some over. Lucky me!
During the festivals, I also benefit from the large amounts of food they put up as prayer offerings. Like during the Winter Solstice last month, I got a huge slab of sponge cake and yam cake each and a whole basket of Fuji apples.
Really nice since I don’t really celebrate some of these festivals on a large scale and prefer to have dinner out instead of cooking up a storm myself.
