Buskers 2007
At this time last year, we were busy checking our watches to be in time for the performances of the International Buskers happening at malls all over the city.
This year? Bleh! Buskers 2007 was supposed to begin December 1 according to their website. Strangely though, there’s nothing about this at the malls either.
So I sent the kids to check out the schedule online only to find a statement saying Buskers 2007 has been “postponed indefinitely”.
Then last Saturday night as I turned out of the basement parking at the Pavilion, we saw crowds gathered outside on the pavement.
I rolled down the windows just in time to hear the announcer welcoming the Buskers!!
You gotta be kidding, right? We were right there and we had no idea the performances were taking off right there! Now we were hearing about it after we leave the building?
Dang! The kids were so disappointed you should’ve seen their faces droop like wax masks 
. Poor things. They’d been so waiting for this all year!
I called up the Buskers’ local office only to be told the performances will be on from December 8 and that our favorite group, the Motley Two from New Zealand (see picture), will not be here 
.
Most of the performers this year are from China which means you can expect lots of pot and fan stunts and acrobatics. You can catch the performances at the Bintang Walk area from 6pm – 11pm every night from December 8 – 16, 2007.
