girls’ tea time
The girls and I had our girls’ day out today leaving Steev at home. We’re on a vegetarian diet today so we couldn’t have lunch outside. We went after lunch to grab some breads and cakes for tea. Vegetarian food gets digested much faster so we knew we were going to get hungry soon and have to have tea.
We were going to Auntie Anne’s Pretzels but Skye wanted a piece of cake from Secret Recipe. I personally would’ve preferred their Chocolate Banana Cake but Skye decided she wanted to try the Chocolate Indulgence instead. I noticed the prices for their cake slices have gone up 60 cents to rm5.50++.
That’s a pretty big increase considering that their cakes are “more cream than cake”. I can’t believe I’m paying for cream that I normally scrape off anyways. But since we only eat cake on birthdays and at parties which isn’t too often, I guess it’s fine.
Raine and I had a Cinnamon Sugar pretzel each from Auntie Anne’s. I’m not a big desserts fan and I’d kinda forgotten that Cinnamon Sugar is 1% cinnamon and 99% sugar. Gag! But I was hungry so I gobbled half of it before the girls took over and finished it up for me.
