an opportunity to talk about loans

I was at the bank with the girls the other day. It was a long wait so we had lots of time to read financial flyers and talk about what loans are (since Skye asked).
I was telling them that to buy houses, we need to take out homeowner loans since it’s a big ticket item that we have to pay for over a period of time.
Unsecured loans are great for quick funding for such things as car repairs and home improvement projects.
But basically before making a decision on which loan to apply for, we should always Compare loans to take advantage of the best features and interest rates.
So that was my quick lesson to Skye, my pre-teen, as we sat waiting at the bank. I’m glad she asked as it gave me an opportunity for this discussion.
