ratatouille

ratatouilleThis was the movie the girls and I watched on our girls’ day out today. Yep, just us girls so it was really nice since we hadn’t done this in a while.

We decided to go on a weekday because I’ve got a coupon for Buy Two, Get 1 Free ticket and thought I’d use it before it expires August 31.

When we got there, they told us we couldn’t use it because it’s only valid for movies with an asterisk “*” beside them. Darn! And the asterisk movies are all lame movies that no one wants to watch, I don’t think :( .

No problem, we’ll pay full price. We weren’t going to leave without watching the movie we came to watch.

It was a fantastic movie, of course. Remy, a young mouse (and he’s really cute too!), gets separated from his clan and ends up on a food adventure of a different sort.

Seems like a very simple storyline but it pans out into something a lot more interesting and complicated. I’m not sure I know who Patton Oswalt is but I sure love his voice as Remy. And of course, the French accent of the other characters is to die for.

I loved the whole idea of him finding his calling and pursuing it against all odds. I think it’s something more of us should be doing – find our passion and run with it.

Frankly there’s nothing I don’t like about this movie really :) . If you haven’t watched it yet, go go go! It’s not just for the kids, this one! I enjoyed every bit of it.
