exercise week
We do have such fun even during these short school breaks. Take last week, for example, my kids wanted to get some much-needed exercise so we declared it Exercise Week
.
I’m glad they’ve realized, all on their own, that they need exercise
. Yeah, the result of one too many pizzas.
On the other hand, I wasn’t quite sure if Exercise Week would materialize. We had some waking -up-early problems the last time we tried something like this.
Turned out, they didn’t need twelve alarm clocks to wake them up in the mornings as I’d anticipated. By around 9 every morning, the girls and I would be in the pool and Steev would be at the gym.
Frankly there’s nothing like an early morning swim, I tell you. After about 10 laps, we’re almost ready to chow down *gulp*. But actually no.
I’d say we did pretty good in terms of not going on a binge afterwards. We did do a coupla McD’s Sausage McMuffins but those don’t count for any calories, right
?

Exercise week, huh? Sounds like a concept. I don’t think I could get all of mine up for that.

No, it’s usually much harder than this. But this time, it worked out really well for us. Maybe it’s peer pressure from their friends at school
That’s a real motivator right there.
