what’s yummy at Vietnam Kitchen?
We went to Vietnam Kitchen for dinner. I have this occasional craving for Vietnamese beef ball noodles and this is one of the few places I can get some.

This same noodle soup that I used to eat in California comes with flat noodles which are more chewy than the ones here. The soup has a very strong pungent fragrance from the finely chopped Chinese celery and other herbs.
But here, the basil alone doesn’t really do much to bring up the taste. And I really wish the soup weren’t so salty, it kinda kills the taste of everything else. Having said this, Vietnam Kitchen is still one of our favorite places to eat.

The kids had the sesame chicken with rice, and they love it. The starfruits and sesame add a uniquely tropical touch.

Another of our favorites is their lemongrass chicken or pork chop. Big eaters will find this more filling than noodles. I’m not a big fan of pork but somehow I think the pork chop tastes better than chicken
