Rush Hour 3

Talk about great entertainment that didn’t cost us a cent! We thought we were just getting free popcorn and a drink with the free movie tickets. Heck, no one told us there’d be a cocktail reception waiting.

At any rate, we’re not complaining. We walked right in and made ourselves at home just like for all the other freebie blockbusters we’ve been watching lately.

The timing was great this time. It was round about lunchtime and we thought we’d have to survive on the popcorn till after the movie. Turned out the cocktail was so substantial we didn’t even have space for lunch afterwards, yum!

rush hour3The movie? The movie was a barrel of laughs. The dialogue was brilliant and the action too, of course.

The kids and I laughed our heads off and man, were we loud!

Er, we were probably the only ones laughing though while everyone else must’ve been too busy reading the subtitles.

I don’t know. I’m only guessing. How else can anyone sit through an action-packed comedy and not laugh? Ya know?

Back to the plot. Very simple, it was your typical someone-wants-to-harm-the-ambassador bit. The Parisian setting gave it a sort of classy flavor.

I liked the little twists here and there – the Chinese man who spoke French, the friendship between Lee and Kenji was touching without being too mushy, the writing on Genevieve’s head. Sorry, am I giving too much away :P ?

Just one more thing, why couldn’t they have chosen prettier Chinese women? Those two don’t do us justice, ya know. They’re the plainest, most unattractive they could’ve picked (duh!). And there are so many of us stunners around ;) hehehe!

I had a blast. I needed a few good laughs and this movie made my Saturday afternoon. Have you watched it yet? What do you think?
