A bit of historical info I found about MSF’s work in Sri Lanka. It’s unfortunate that disputes couldn’t be better resolved using more amicable, peace-loving means *sigh*. Once countries resort to arms, innocent people get killed.
Throughout 2006, tens of thousands of people have been displaced by the armed conflict in Sri Lanka while at least 15,000 people have fled to India.
For the past nine months, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has been pushing to provide medical assistance to the population living in the conflict affected areas of Sri Lanka.
